Once kids start hitting the teen years, they usually drop off, but most kids will play with these toys for a very long time. Many more kids and adults collect them.
Our favorite thing to do with LPS is to dress them up. You can make a killing selling LPS clothes on eBay. At one point, I had over of these lots. There is money to be made for sure. Right now, you may be asking, how and where do I find these clothes and accessories to sell, or maybe you have some pets you want to sell WITH clothes and accessories.
You can find really cool things on Amazon and other places. You want to be set apart. You want to stand out in a sea of tons of pets. LPS on eBay is an ebb and flow type of thing. You want to sell them when they are at their most expensive price. And the rest of the pets are my favorites.
They are not as well-known for being expensive online and so you can find them easier and make a killing. A great example is a Collie LPS does well also.
Another good one is The Cruise Ship and Jet also do well on ebay. I used to part things like that out. I found that I made a lot more money doing that. And people are looking for it too, to complete their set. Plus it helps get your reviews up! They can do well on ebay too. If you want to make money on LPS, get to know this list really well. Always look for those.
I know almost all of the more than 3, of them. One thing you want to be super careful of is the smallest of details. One pupil is circle shaped, the other is starred. These little details when selling LPS on eBay can sometimes mean huge rewards. Usually one is rarer than the other and therefore will fetch you more money! So, be sure to pay attention to the small details. Definitely ebay! OR your own Shopify store would work too. They do free shipping and include the shipping cost in the price.
Basically, to get an item to sell, they up the price of the toy to reflect the shipping cost and offer free shipping. Long, drawn out story short, they sell much better that way. So the shipping is actually just included in the price. Get yourself some wedding organza bags at a craft store or on ebay and put the pet in there.
Then bubble wrap the pet in the organza bag and put it in a small bubble envelope. If you want to sell it faster, list lower. Some pets can take even a year to sell, but they do. This is the course I wish I had when I needed to suddenly support my family and wanted to make money from home and not leave my kids with a babysitter all day while I went to a job. Do you purchase on eBay and then resell? The other toy that got ridiculous amounts were GeoTrax. I was stunned at the prices they went for! I had no idea people collected these things!
I have a ton in the attic from when I was younger and collecting them, are the new ones worth anything or is it mostly the old ones? The older ones generally go for more than the newer ones. Some of them of both are still NIB! Great question Kathy. I mostly stayed with girl toys as they seem to do better. State if they have no initials, writing, on them and if they are rust free on their necks.
Those are the two major questions. You do have to end the item and relist it manually every 3 months to keep the ads fresh and at the top of search results.

I have some LPS toys and playsets and wondered what the playsets are worth are you able to give me a basic idea,please? I always used the Craigslist those out. The emergency doctor set is worth good money, everything else is not really worth your time. I bought a lot of lps at a rummage sale, in great shape and am trying to sell them on eBay, you said use bin. But how do I know what to say for them? Is it better to sell them one at a time or in a lot? It depends if you have any worth money in there and how much time you want to invest in selling them.
You can also search them on eBay and see how much they are going for. Was cleaning my attic and unearthed my daughters Littlest Pet Shop. It is the pet store, 12 inches in height and about 18 inches in width when it is open, with a handle on the top. Contains at least a dozen animals, including all the furniture for the store, etc. Purchased about 27 years ago. Any idea what it is worth? I have a little dog with both a pink and blue magnet. I really just want to get these lps for my daughter to play with.
She sees them on YouTube and of course wants her own. With her birthday in February I am sure I will be shelling out 5x the original price for these tiny toys. Or is it just the older lps that have value? Just wondering if I should be snagging extra lps to hold onto for later….
Also, where did you FIND your collectibles? I really just wanna make my 5 year old happy. I was just reading your article and had no idea these were worth money. We have about 60 plus accessories. Would you be able to look at a pic and let me know value?

My daughter collected lots of them including houses and so of them but the dutch marketplace does not seem to be favorable to sell them. Is ebay the only place to start selling and do you think american collectors would be interested in buying from a country abroad? Especially since shipping costs can be high. Thanks for the list.
