When is buccaneer days in catalina 2017

Is used to be so fun. Last 2 years we had a mooring and never made it to land. We just enjoyed the festivities from the water.

I went in before the new rules and it was pretty ho hum. Basically a large themed house party. Given the restaurant makes a fortune why do they need to also charge cover? Is public drinking outlawed?

Have the number of attendees gone down or average age gone down. Any feedback? I was able to attend Buc Days in with a couple of buddies that started going in Part the allure was the affordability as compared to other pirate faires or renn faires that we had previously attended.

We really liked the camping and night time partying. Since then I have not been able to attend life can be cruel , but my buddies continued to be regular participants.

I am finally able to attend this year and neither one of my friends have any desire to go because of the cost. My buddies and I will give Buc Days one last go, otherwise we will be concentrating our pirate faire efforts on the High Desert Pirate Renn Faire in Hesperia come next spring. Thanks for you comment. Catalina under Rusack is fading fast. Even the iconic Avalon Bell Tower is being allowed to fall apart. The spirit of the island is gone, both in Avalon and at Two Harbors.

I have going to buccaneers days since mid 90s, shame on you John Phelps. You ruined my favorites time of the year. Yes I lived at the isthmus for 17 years and always played a part. I enjoyed it. No ones allowed to bring their own alcohol on beaches and must pay increased drink prices at local bars.
