Should i let garrus shoot sidonis

When it comes to Sidonis, he was a traitor and a backstabber, he got almost a dozen men killed who acted as vigilantes, fighting for a just cause and all that. Sure, I may have tried to talk him out of it, but in the end, it's Garrus' decision, not mine.

Sidonis was genuinely a bad person, and Harken didn't even die, he just walks with a limp now and he was a bad person too. As a Paragon Shepard, I am never cruel to people who don't deserve it. I'm almost like a Justicar in that respect. So in conclusion, don't feel bad about it. The guy learned the hard way that if you cross Shepard or company, you get hunted down and killed for being a jerk to people.

It's not like long, drawn out torture, either. A shot to the head isn't a really bad way to go. User Info: Michotic. He made a decision that got ten people killed, yes, but he didn't just waltz into the merc HQ and give them the information. He was threatened and he panicked. I like walking through the dialogue on that mission, because Sidonis regrets what he did, and he even says that he deserves to die.

If you talk to Garrus, he even says he could still see good in Sidonis. Harkin is a piece of dirt, but my Para-Shep stops him from shooting Harkin. Shooting a defenseless person isn't what my Para-Shep will do. If Harkin pulled a gun, I'd shoot him. Shepard makes a point.

Harkin can't hide from C-Sec. His days as the Fade are over. Where are we going? And what's with this handbasket?! You say your Shepard wouldn't shoot an unarmed person, and I may be arguing semantics, but Garrus shoots Harkin, not Shepard.

I suppose that's a fair point. In both games, Garrus seems to look to Shepard for guidance. In order to gain Garrus' loyalty and make sure he survives the suicide mission in the Collector base, you will need to help him locate Sidonis and decide whether Garrus should kill him or not.

So, if you want to make Garrus loyal and ensure that he appears in Mass Effect 3, look no further than this Mass Effect 2 Garrus loyalty mission guide , which includes all kinds of useful information on where to find Fade , what happens if you shoot Harkin , and whether you should let Garrus take the shot or move to the side. Garrus' loyalty mission is acquired after having him on the Normandy for several quests. Eventually, Kelly Chambers should let you know that Garrus wants to talk to you, which is your cue to visit him at the main battery on deck three.

He will tell you that he has tracked down someone who knows of Sidonis' whereabouts and ask you to go to the Citadel to find more details. As with all of the other loyalty missions in the game except Legion's , this should be completed before embarking on the acquire Reaper IFF mission, which is the first part of Mass Effect 2's endgame section.

If you leave this until afterwards, you may lose squadmates and crewmates, so if you're going for a perfect run where everybody survives the suicide mission, this quest and all other loyalty missions should be completed before going to acquire the Reaper IFF. The first thing you need to do after acquiring this mission is head to the Citadel. When you land, go straight through to C-Sec, which is the first location you'll encounter after walking through customs.

Speak to Captain Bailey on the right and ask about Fade. He'll tell you to go to the warehouse, where one of Fade's agents is currently operating out of. You can locate the warehouse area of the Citadel on the western side of the minimap. Head over to the warehouse and you'll meet a volus with two krogan bodyguards.

You can shoot the krogan with a Renegade interrupt, but you don't need to fight them, so if you're playing a Paragon Shepard just ignore the prompt and Garrus will scare them off anyway.

The volus will be left on his own and will tell you that Fade is Harkin, the ex-C-Sec officer who originally told you where to find Garrus in the first game. When you finally catch up with Harkin he'll try to escape, but will be caught by surprise thanks to Garrus and roughed up. After Harkin agrees to set up a meeting he tries to leave, but Garrus won't let him off that easy since he is, after all, a criminal.

When Harkin says that killing him isn't Garrus' style, Garrus will line up a shot to his legs to "slow him down a little". You'll now be headed for the climax of the Mission, where Shepard talks with Sidonis while Garrus lines up the shot.

Shepard will talk with Garrus in the car about the coming confrontation, and there are in fact many different options you can pick. It's easy to figure out though: the upper options are Paragon while the lower options are Renegade. You'll now move on to the confrontation itself: Shepard meets with Sidonis while Garrus lines up the shot from a faraway balcony. As with the cab scene there's a lot of permutations and paths through the various options here, but suffice to say that Paragons will want to get in the way of the shot while Renegades will step out of the way and let Garrus take it.

That said, for Paragons there is a Paragon Interrupt during this scene that you MUST take if you want to negotiate with Garrus to spare Sidonis and hear more of his story. Similarly, if at any time you pick "[Let Garrus take the shot]", Sidonis will die. However the meeting with Sidonis went down, you'll reconvene with Garrus back at the balcony. If you let Garrus kill Sidonis, pick "You done with this? While completing this Loyalty Mission will simply return you to Zakera Ward, you may want to return to the Normandy for new dialogue:.
